The Dodge Charger Packs Plenty of Braking Force

The Dodge Charger is a well-known and popular sports and performance car. The Charger and its line of vehicles have been thrilling drivers with their elite levels of power and performance for many years. While it is certainly true that the Dodge Charger kicks out power that makes it the best in class leader in its peer group, it also supplies plenty of braking force on the other end of things.

Under the hood, Dodge Charger enthusiasts have their choice of two separate engines. The smaller 3.6L motor provides V-6 power and 300 hp, while the larger version boasts a 5.7L HEMI motor. This V-8 engine offers a supercharger boosted 707 hp, making the Charger one of the most powerful vehicles in its class.

On the braking end, Dodge Chargers are equipped with high-performance Brembo Brakes. These style of brakes are custom-built for performance vehicles, and they include specialized design factors like single block billet calipers made from aluminum and 4-6 brake pistons. Brembo aluminum brake calipers offer durability and strength while at the same time reducing overall weight. The 4-6 brake pistons are fitted which special heat radiators made from stainless steel. This promotes greater heat conduction and longer component life.
